My Dad working on a collage with his usual intensity. Nothing like a creative mind at work on a new project. I always admire his work ethic and range of talents. I was truly blessed to come from such a talented family.
Even though there wasn't enough wind at the Kite Festival, the kids still had fun. It could have been raining and the kids would still be having fun. It's all about attitude and energy...if you have the right attitude then you have the energy to have a good time.
Interesting old light fixture in the Livestock Exchange building, one of the coolest buildings in KC. I enjoy walking around this building at sunset when the light comes glowing through the windows and hallways. It's a wonderful place to have a studio,I'm so lucky to be there. There's great creative energy in that building and some great talent working there.
Just some funky birdhouses hanging on a light pole in the Crossroads Art District. One of my favorite places in KC,full of art, eats and odd stuff. These creations are across from Leedy-Voulkos Art Center, another gem in this city.
Took a trip recently to Omaha to see the final days of an exhibition at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts with some work by Anne Lindberg. Her installation of thousands of colorful threads in the corner of the room is amazing. This photo in no way does it any justice,it's mesmerizing. You stand in front of it and it just vibrates with color and light. So worth the trip.
Omaha has some great outdoor sculptures, their placement is really intriguing. There were animals all over downtown protruding from buildings. Nice touch.
