traffic

This is what being in traffic feels like to me,closed in and congested. It's difficult to make something so messy look so beautiful. Yes,even congested traffic can look beautiful if you at it the right way.

the bar

A grainy and gritty photograph of a neon bar sign in a rough part of town. It was one of those dive bars on the East coast, the best kind of bar. Go inside and listen to the stories that are told by the "regulars", just don't order a cosmopolitan.

highschool band

I was at a highschool graduation and had a chance to take some shots before the ceremonies. The sheet music says "Pomp and Circumstance" but the way the band played it was more like "Poop and Circumstance".

at the carnival

As I was photographing the ferris wheel at the Parkville carnival, these two friendly faces popped into my viewfinder. You gotta love friendly people.

some of my favorite people in the world

Sitting around the dinner table with my family in Pulicciano. You really need sound to appreciate this scene. Just imagine 10 conversations at once, both English and Italian and much laughter. Man,I miss that sound.

Italian cliffs

I photographed these cliffs on the way to Pulicciano from Florence. This scene reminds me of somewhere out west in the US. If there had been a Stuckey's restaurant nearby, I would have gotten homesick.

styling shoes

Contrary to popular opinion,my brother and sister do not always lean like this.
I think it was the effects of jet-lag.

a pillar in Siena

I have no idea what we are looking at here. I shoot first and figure it out later. It's been the general theme of my life.

a pink horse

It was strange to walk thru Florence and see a pink horse behind this gate. I could only imagine why it was wrapped as such.
